Grace Kanzenbach, LCSW
Please take a moment to appreciate the work that you've put in so far and for taking one of the hardest first steps in the change process-- asking for help! My name is Grace and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Wisconsin. I have worked within the social work field since 2014 in a variety of settings with clients from the age of 8 up to the age of 75. I graduated in 2017 with my Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and graduated in 2018 with my Master of Social Work degree from the University of New England. While I have experience in a wide range of areas in mental health such as personality disorders, psychosis, and childhood/adult trauma, I also have a passion for treating youth and adults in the areas of stress, anxiety, anger management, suicidality/self-injurious behavior, motivation, and coping with addictions.
I believe deep in my heart that everyone's life matters. I am confident that with a little guidance and support, everyone can find what a life worth living means to them, and create it. My therapy is centered on a diverse set of theoretical lenses including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. My hope is to not solely focus on your mental health, but to also to help you find an all encompassing balance of mental, physical, and emotional well-being. I firmly believe that no two journeys are the same, and that people deserve mental health treatment unique to their situation. I enjoy incorporating humor into my therapy practice as appropriate, and honoring a person's right to seeking therapy that is right for them.
I live in Wisconsin with my partner, and have a passion for fitness (CrossFit, yoga, lifting/running), nutrition and cooking (fueling my body in a way that balances me and tastes great!), the outdoors (kayaking, camping, hiking), and traveling (to anywhere I can!).
I am excited to work with you and look forward to hearing from you!
