Lauren Gordon, LPC-IT, UW-Whitewater

Are you struggling with feelings of grief, chronic stress, or anger? Do you feel overwhelmed with juggling a complex web of responsibilities and duties that seem never-ending? Are you a college student, adolescent, single parent, or someone who has endured trauma? Do you want to have a safe space to explore complex issues, discover resources such as coping skills, and maintain a relationship to help you stay accountable to the direction you would like to see your life move in?
Counseling can help you find the balance and boundaries you need in order to pursue peace in the middle of the chaos. I wholeheartedly believe that people are more than just the sum of their parts, and each client treatment plan will be completely unique. I will work with you using ACT, parts work/IFS, and CBT to figure out what counseling means to you, monitor progress, and meet your goals.
Authenticity and hope are incredibly important to me in my work, as well as sharing knowledge and resources to help you in your journey.
I graduated from U.W. Whitewater with my M.S. in Counseling. I typically schedule new clients weekly or every other week in a consistent time spot to make sure you are not fighting for your time.
In addition to my passion for ACT and psychoeducation, I am looking forward to my training in EMDR and have an interest in trauma informed yoga.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my pets and exploring new places.
