Compassionate support for your journey to freedom.
You might be here because you’re at the end of your rope. Maybe you’re having trouble defining who you are outside of your professional purpose or finding difficulty on your path to recovery. Does it seem like you are riding a rollercoaster of emotions and responding in ways that do not feel true to who you are or want to be? You might even have trouble sleeping because the weight of everything you are feeling is too heavy.
I get it. As a long-time therapist for county government and the spouse of a first responder, I know firsthand the challenges that come when you give your all to a career. Through my training and my own experiences, I aim to create a therapy experience that’s a powerful opportunity to connect with someone who truly understands and can guide you on a path toward relief.
I believe in keeping it real and providing a non-judgmental space for you to set achievable goals for yourself so that you can start living the life you truly want. Consider me a “tool in your toolbox,” allowing you to move forward with confidence as you address specific issues, learn coping skills, and step onto the path of feeling like yourself again.
Currently, I’m in the process of training my English mastiff, Maxine, to be a therapy dog! Maxine has completed her initial puppy classes, and basic manners, and will be completing Canine Good Citizen (CGC) before beginning formal training. Maxine's presence in sessions can assist with reducing stress and anxiety while increasing regulation and grounding. If you’re interested in learning more about animal-assisted therapy or having Maxine join in on a session, please reach out.
It’s time to come out of survival mode and take care of YOU. With practical solutions, empathy, and understanding, I’ll be there to help you with every step of your journey. Schedule a consultation below to see if we’re a good fit.

MODALITIES
Sessions with me are…
Collaborative and solution-focused.
I believe in a balance of warmth, humor, and teamwork. You deserve freedom and relief from the weight you are carrying, and I’m here to help you move forward. Let’s cut through the bullshit and make therapy exactly what you need. In general, I schedule clients weekly or every other week to make sure that there is availability and no one is fighting for spots on my calendar.
My background
I have a Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and a Master’s in Social Work from George Williams College-Aurora University. I am professionally affiliated with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the EMDR International Association.
Some of my previous work includes team-based mental health services at an outpatient mental health clinic, working with a county crisis intervention unit, and serving as a probation agent for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. I’ve also served as a social worker and case manager for jail inmates and provided addiction counseling as a case manager at an intensive outpatient drug treatment program. I’m a licensed Clinical Substance Abuse counselor and here at Reflections, I serve as a member of the leadership team.
In my free time, I love to spend time with my family, friends, and my dogs. I also enjoy cooking, baking, traveling, training Maxine, and attending various trainings and conferences.
